Annette Viola Boyce born August 19, 1956 to Arlena Olivia Johnson Harris Hamilton, who proceeded her in death, departed her life November 15, 2019 at Shore Medical Health Easton, MD. She was 63 years old.

Annette received her early education at Preston Elementary School. She continued her education at Colonel Richardson High School. She later went on to receive her GED in 1996. Annette was a CNA at Pennicle in Dover, as well as a lead cook at Webby's and Applebee's for several years. She was a bartender for many years at the American Legion and various other places.  We know she loved to cook and she loved bartending.

Nettie was a active member of the Majestic Angels and Ladies Auxillary of American Legion. Everyone that came in contact with Annette loved her. She carried a smile that would warm the hearts of many. She would never come into your presence without giving you a hug and a kiss. Annette was the top fan of James Brown and she was a Die-Hard Ravens fan. There were not many times that you didn't see Annette without wearing purple or something representing the Ravens.

She is survived by her father, Rudolph Boyce, her step-father, Charles Hamilton, one son Wilson Downes III (Akilah), one grandson, Wilson Downes IV, one sister, Wanda Murray Knight (Michael), five brothers; Royce Boyce, Kenny Batson, Keith Harris Sr., Kenneth Harris Jr., Keenan Harris, two stepsisters: Lady Kalinda Polk-Dickerson (Dr. Berkley) and Vanessa Florence Perron, one stepbrother, Alexander Harris, three uncles: Carlton Cannon Jr., Kendall Cannon Sr., and Michael Cannon (Tonya) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She had a few devoted sistas: Sheron, Darlene, Mildred (Millie), and Janie.

Didn't realize that I was going to be with her until the end, but that was in God's plan. I just couldn't bear leaving her alone. She always showed love with whomever she came into contact with. At one point in our lives we were more like sisters. Time and growing up sometimes changes things, but we always had that love for one another. We had space between contacts, but we would talk each other's ears off. I will miss you Annette, knowing that she won't be around anymore. She will be in my spirit. With her last 6 days on earth, I was with her everyday. Praying for the Best, but God had another plan.. Love you Annette. Will miss you.

Family, when Lynn said Mom Annette is in the hospital we both said we have to go see her. I'm glad we did because just a couple days later God came to take her home. She was such a loving and caring person. When Mom was in Talbot Hospice she visited her at least once week sometimes twice. We will miss her and family you are in our prayers.

My deepest condolences to the family. I remember Annette when we were in Easton Walmart and she was dressed in all Baltimore Ravens attire and at first I didn’t recognize her and she told me who she was and the next time we see each other I better know who she was and I did and we laughed. Such a sweet spirit.❤️

Nettie,

I want to thank you for all of the life lessons, the love, the laughter...
You ALWAYS kept it straight laced and I thank you for that. You taught me some real things as a young jit that helped mold me into the woman that I am today and I have and always will wear those lessons like badges of honor.

I know you are looking down on all of us and that brings me comfort. I love you Nettie Boo, for always.

Lovingly,
-Vicki
