I lost a friend and the Eastern Shore of Maryland lost the most gentle, kind, creative woman. From the day I met Janette I was in awe of her. She was so soft spoken, thorough, intelligent, ready to help in any way. Her graphic design talents were incredible. I always thought she glided into a room and that she never even left a footprint. However, she did leave one on our hearts. You came into our lives and loved us and somehow we became us. Rest In Peace my friend.

My sincere condolences to Janette's family and friends. While I did not know Janette well, in my few short years in Cambridge I spent time with her at the Dorchester Center for the Arts and always enjoyed her laugh, smile and insight into the art world. I would often catch glimpses of her riding her bike around town and enjoying the river view on Hambrooks. She was a special and talented woman and I am sure she will be greatly missed by family and friends.

My sincere condolences to all of you during this difficult time. Losing a loved one is never easy. The Bible offers comfort, hope and practical help to those who have lost loved one in death. Those that passed away will be called by name and be resurrected, like Jesus did His friend Lazarus. (John 11:11,25)>>Faith>>Hope>>Love>>Prayer>>www.jw.org

I have been a part time resident of Cambridge and one not involved directly in the arts community. I only knew who Janette by her regular presence at the art center and at community meetings. Had I known her more personally I believe I would have come to describe her exactly as Judy Slaughter has described her here. Her unpretentious, quiet presence was remarkable.
