Wilson Tate, Jr. Obituary

Wilson Augustus Tate, Jr., a resident of Trappe, MD, passed away
at the age of 65 on August 12, 2024, at home. Wilson, known to many as
“Uncle Chucky,” “Chuck,” and “Fleetwood the Barber,” was born to the late
Wilson Agustus Tate, Sr., and Arlivia Gertrude Tate on November 4, 1958,
in Kent, MD.
Wilson attended Kent High School in Worton, MD. Following high
school, he served in the United States Marine Corps., where he received
his education with a degree. He was employed at Chesapeake Publishing
Corporation, known as Star Democrat, St. Michael’s Yacht Club,
Dover Post, Choptank Transport, and until his death he worked with
United Parcel Service in Easton, MD.
On January 24, 1998, he was united in holy matrimony to Jacqueline
Veronica Thomas. Wilson loved his sports, martial arts, bowling, baseball,
basketball, and football, especially the Baltimore Ravens. He loved his dogs,
Brasal, Bison, and Rosco, the biggest pit bull in the world. He also loved to
tell a joke.
Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Arlivia
Tate; brother, Clifford E. Graves; sister, Valentina Tate; brother-in-law,
Hebert Sudler, Jr.; and special uncle, Hezekiah Hackett.
He leaves to cherish in memory: his devoted and loving wife of 26 years,
Jacqueline Tate; two daughters, Mon’que Tate of Federalsburg, MD, and
Stanlee Thomas of Cordova, MD; son, Larry Thomas of Cordova, MD;
grandchildren, Tyjah, Devon, Danica, and Amore; sister, Geneva Sudler
of Dover, DE; nephew/little brother, Derrick Tate; mother-in-law, Mary L.
Brooks; father-in-law, William C. Thomas, Sr., sisters-in-law, Tehara (Dwhite), Tamarya (Dwayne), Tywanda (Jeff),
Tina, and Dionne; brothers-in-law, Williams Jr., Richard Jr., Avery, and
Rashad (Malika); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
