William Clarence Thomas, Jr., a resident of Trappe, MD, passed away at the age of 63. He was born on March 5, 1962, in Seattle, WA, to William Clarence Thomas, Sr., and Mary Lorraine Chase Thomas. God called him home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, after a brief illness.
William was known as “Boozie,” “Pop Pop Boozie,” and “Uncle Boozie.” William grew up in Trappe, MD. He attended Easton High School, Class of 1980. Boozie had a degree in Psychology. He loved to draw, garden, tinker with things, and write poems, his passion was truck driving.
He attended Scotts United Methodist Church in Trappe, MD. Later he joined St. Stephens AME Church in Unionville, MD.
Boozie enjoyed the outdoors and worked at Thomas Salvage Yard, his grandfather’s business, from a young age. He worked at Cold-Water in Cambridge, MD, Black-n-Decker in Easton, MD, Len and Glen Home Improvements, and his most recent job was long-distance hauling for WF Stewart Trucking. He would
also ride with his son, BJ, traveling cross country.
William was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Josiah Chase, William Naomi Thomas; several aunts and uncles and cousins on both sides of the family.
He is survived by his son, William “BJ” (Brittany); four grandchildren, Braylin, Liam, Arayah, and Azrael; father, William C. (Virginia); mother, Mary L. Chase Thomas Brooks; sisters, Jacqueline, Tehara (Dwhite), Tywanda (Jeffrey), Tamarra (Dwayne), Tina, and Dionne; brothers, Avery (Shanika) Richard, Jr., and Rashad (Malika); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
