William Harrison Hall was born February 27, 1939, to Cecila Turpin Hall and Charles Hall. William was educated in the Talbot County School system.
At an early age, he married Barbara Johnson and moved to Glenarden, MD. Together they had five children. He later moved to East Orange, NJ where he lived for five years. William returned to Oxford where he worked for Oxford public works, he was a chauffeur for the Kegen family, and he also worked at Bountiful Furniture store in Easton for a while.
William loved to fish and could be seen with his bucket, pole and budwiser heading for the ferry dock to meet his buddies, Leslie, Sissy, and sometimes his sister, Phyllis.
William loved to have dance and have a good time. He could make you laugh when you didn’t feel like it. He was a kindhearted person once you met him you could never forget him.
In the summer of 1983. William started “Dating” Delilah “Cookie” Watson. After much on and off time they married. Totaling 40 years together.
William leaves to mourn, his wife, Delilah, six children, William Jr. (Pat), of Vienna, MD, Tyrone (Elaine) of Glenarden, MD, Lois (Kevin) of Upper Marlboro, MD. Jessica (James) of Easton, MD, Nick (Samantha) of Federalsburg, MD, Sherry of Glenarden, MD, 41 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, special family friends, Shirley Watson, Kevin Ames and Delores Pinder and a host of other family and friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cecila, sisters, Phyllis Potter, Marion Turpin, brother, Robert “Bobby” Hall and son Jerone Hall.
William will be truly missed by all who loved him.
