Wendell Runyon Bordley

Wendell Runyon Bordley affectionately known as “Muss” departed this life on June 26, 2022 at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD.  He was born on December 8, 1937 to the late Isabell and Arthur Bordley.

Wendell received his education in the Queen Anne County school system and graduated from Kennard High School. He then decided to serve his country by enlisting is the United States Armed Forces where he was honorably discharged after serving for less than a year. After his brief military service, he went to work for Davidson Asphalt until his health failed him in 1986.

Wendell had many friends who loved him dearly. He was known as the life of the party. He had many hobbies which he loved, like fishing, watching baseball, listening to music, talking on the phone (being nosey) and eating (with his big appetite).

Wendell was preceded in death by his brothers; Gene, Perry, Author Jr. and Louis Bordley.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his daughter, Christine Bordley, step-daughter, Virginia Wright (Greg), special friend of 40 years, Adelena Brown, two sisters; Edna Teat (Walter), Elsie Bordley Watkins, three grandchildren, Tranell Bordley, Deron Jacobs (Kassie), Koshontay Jacobs, eight great-grandchildren, Jamira Warner, Mari Bordley, Brianna Jacobs, Lawrence Ryans Jr., Jason Ryans, Cameron Jacobs, Christopher Jacobs, Mya Ryans, best friends, Phelix Moals, Odessa Baynard, Ruth King, Benard Whittington, Sheena Moore, Sterling Henson, Timmy Bratcher and Bucky Brooks and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
