Vincent Stanley, Jr. Obituary

On Friday, April 9, 2021, Vincent Cortez Stanley Jr. affectionately known as “Little Vincent” passed away peacefully at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton, Maryland at the age of 36.

Vincent was born in Easton, Maryland on May 22, 1984 to Vincent Cortez Stanley Sr. and Lisa Nickerson-Stanley.

Vincent received his education in the Caroline County public school system, attending Federalsburg Elementary and Colonel Richardson High School. He was a graduate of the class of 2003. After graduation he decided to further his education and attended Chesapeake College.

His love for truck driving began when family and friends would gather around and share their excitement about driving their trucks across the open roads. He noticed their enthusiasm as they talked about the places they’ve traveled as well as the places they would like to go. Vincent loved those stories and it actually fueled his passion to pursue that career path. After a while, he would find himself sharing his own truck driving stories and experiences.

At the time of his death, Vincent was employed with CW Transport in Federalsburg, Maryland.

Vincent was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Nickerson, grandmother, Martha Stanley, paternal grandfather, Maurice Purnell Stanley, Sr., maternal grandfather, Julian Butler, cousin, Maurice Purnell Stanley III “TT”, and Maurice Purnell Stanley IV “Tro”.

To mourn and cherish his memories, Vincent leaves his son, Cortez Julian Stanley of Federalsburg, MD, father, Vincent Stanley Sr. and stepmother, Debra Stanley, of Wentzville, MO, two sisters; Cristina Stanley of Clairmont, CA and Jeanie Nickerson of Federalsburg, MD, grandmother, Doris Ann Butler, uncles; Maurice Stanley Jr. (LaRia) and Eric Butler (Yvonne), aunts; Lynne Nickerson-Jones, Vanessa Draine, and Wanda Bland (Willie), special cousin, Khali M.
