Vaughn Roderick Jones

Vaughn Jones, son of the late Preston Hayes and Mildred Jones was born on February 23, 1965 in Easton, Maryland.  He departed this life on March 2, 2026, at Tidal Health Hospital in Seaford, Delaware.

Vaughn was educated in Caroline County public schools.  Vaughn had a sense of humor and an infectious smile. He loved to fish and he loved to hunt before his health failed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Hayes and Mildred Jones; grandparents, William Jones and Claudia Primusa Jones, two uncles, William Franklin Jones and Anthony Jones, and cousin, Kellie Jones.

Vaughn leaves to cherish his memories, two sons; Vaughn Jones Jr. and Deandre Jones of Cambridge, MD, two daughters; Katisha Jones of Easton, MD and Lakita Turner (Anwar) of Trappe, MD, two sisters; Stephanie Johnson-Steger (Brian) of Federalsburg, MD and Penny Williams (Bradley) of Atlanta, GA, one uncle, Bruce Jones of Baltimore, MD, one aunt, Victoria Jones of Easton, MD, 12 grandchildren;  Berdadrian Pittman, BerdaZiah Pittman, Lawar Turner and Imani Turner of Trappe, MD, Vaughn Jones III of Federalsburg, Kimora Jones and Ashton Jones of Cambridge, MD, Kassidy Young, DeAndre Jones Jr., Deion Jones, Malaya Jones and Kamren Dockins all of Cambridge, MD, three great grandchildren; three nephews; Rodney Johnson, Jr. (Kelly) of Denton, MD, Brandon Johnson of Federalsburg, MD and Seaborn Williams, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, two nieces; Crystal Sneed and Jada Williams of Atlanta, GA, best friend, Troy Bolden of Federalsburg, MD and a host of cousins, friends and extended family.
