Trevonte Cephas Obituary

Trevonte Lamar Cephas was born on February 19, 1996. He passed away at the age of 25 on April 13, 2021. He was the son of the late Joslin Amanda Cephas and Kier Johnson.

Trevonte was raised since the age of one by Charlene and Kelbourne Sanders. He was born in Tampa, FL  and at the age of one moved to Bridgeville, Delaware where he was educated in the Sussex County School System. Trevonte was a college graduate of Goldey Beacom College. After college, he joined and served in the United States Army until his death.

“Scooter” as he was affectionately known, will always be remembered as a fighter, a charmer and a respectful and wonderful man. His smile would light up any room. He was meticulous with his style and loved to look sharp! In his downtime, he loved listening to music, writing poetry, discussing his military career and cooking. He was a hard worker, a provider, and a wonderful husband to his wife.  He loved his family, especially his “pop-pop” Bishop Charles Cephas. Scooter believed that “legends never die.” Scooter will always be known as the legend that impacted everyone’s life. His memory will live on.
