Ta'Aira Dequhia Blake Obituary

Ta’Aira Dequiah Blake was born on March 17, 1998, at Easton Memorial Hospital to her loving parents, Tracy Baynard and Tavia Blake. She peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on May 1, 2026, at her home in Cambridge, Maryland.

Ta’Aira was a proud graduate of North Caroline High School in Ridgely, Maryland, Class of 2016. During her time there, she excelled academically as a gifted student and was inducted as a member of the National Honor Society. Following high school, she continued her education at Salisbury University, where she pursued her passion for becoming a veterinarian. From a young age, Ta’Aira had a deep love for animals and was committed to protecting and advocating for their well-being.

Ta’Aira was known for her independence, strength, and self-sufficiency. She took great pride in her work and consistently demonstrated dedication and professionalism. She served as a manager at Dairy Queen in Cambridge, Maryland, and later continued her employment at Dunkin’ Donuts. No matter where she worked, Ta’Aira was a bright light—bringing warmth, kindness, and positivity to her coworkers and every customer she encountered.

Ta’Aira will forever be remembered for her bold personality and vibrant sense of humor. She was witty, charming, and full of life. Her infectious laughter and magnetic presence could light up any room. Ta’Aira also had a deep love for music of all genres—music was her escape and her joy. She was a puzzle enthusiast and had a passion for art, expressing her creativity in ways that brought her peace and happiness. Relentless in everything she did, Ta’Aira was very determined to learn how to braid hair as a hobby and took pride in mastering new skills. She was also known for her homemade taco pockets and her holiday cinnamon rolls, which brought comfort and smiles to those she loved.

Above all, she cherished her family deeply. She was often the one to bring everyone together—sending the first message in the family group chat and creating moments filled with food, laughter, and love.

Ta’Aira leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Tracy Baynard (Brandon) of Cambridge, Maryland, and Tavia Blake of Hurlock, Maryland; her sister, Tranisha Blake (Shaniya) of Cordova, Maryland; and her brother, Tavia Blake Jr. of Germantown, Maryland.
