Sarah Staten was born in Denton, Maryland on January 4, 1929 to the late Charles Emerson Brown “Pop” and Bertie Mae Brown and stepmother, the late Pearl Brown. She departed from this earthly life to be received into God’s Heavenly Realm on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the age of 93 at the Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Denton, MD.
Sarah lived her entire life in Caroline County, MD and there is where she received her education.
Sarah met and married the love of her life, Daniel Staten. They enjoyed 49 years marriage until he died on October 1, 2001.
Sarah was a faithful member of the Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Denton, MD. She was a diligent worker and was employed at Campbell’s Soup Company for many years until she retired. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and spending time with her family. She had a warm personality and a great sense of humor.
Sarah will be received into the arms of her sisters; Audrey Patterson, Ida Mae Brown, Elizabeth Jackson, Ella Milligan and Melvina Murray as well as her brothers; James Brown, Thomas “Tit” Brown, William Brown and Alfred Brown, three sisters-in-law; Catherine (Pat) Brown, Alice Brown, and Betty Ann Brown.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memory to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
