Sarah Lou Hobbs, the daughter of the late Emma Hamilton and Percy Fulton was born on March 15, 1932 in Thomason, GA. She was called from her labor to reward peacefully on October 9, 2021 in Victorville, California, with her daughter at her side. Sarah was married to the late Jimmie Hobbs
Sarah was raised in GA and received her education in the McDuffie County Public School system.
In 1952, Sarah and Jimmie moved to Maryland. She worked at Hurlock Pickle Factory but her true passion was being a healthcare worker at a local nursing facility. Sarah was a faithful member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church where she served as a member of the United Methodist Women. She was very loving, kind, pleasant, friendly, warm-hearted, and helpful. You would always find her helping and doing whatever she could for anybody. The door to her home was always open.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Jimmie Hobbs (Unsuk) of Spring Lake, NC, Frankie Hobbs of Salisbury, MD, and Charles Hobbs of Spring Lake, NC, one daughter, Frances Creighton Taylor (Nelson) of Victorville, CA, and two grandchildren, she raised Tasha McCutchen of Federalsburg, MD and Marvin Hobbs of Hurlock, MD, 22 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her devoted sister, Mamie Parker Brummell of Hurlock, MD, one sister-in-law, Doretha Luke of Cambridge, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends.
Sarah was preceded in death by a son, James Hobbs, daughter, Dorothy Louise Hobbs, and three brothers, Tommie Luke, Henry Luke, and Walter Hamilton
