Ruth Elaine (Bolden) Washington

Ruth Elaine Washington, 60, departed this life at her home on Sunday, July 30, 2023, surrounded by her family .

Ruth also known as “Woo-Woo” was born at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD on November 14, 1962 to Mary Alice Washington Blue and Tyree James Bolden.

Ruth attended Colonel Richardson High School in Caroline County. She wasn’t able to complete her final year in school due to the birth of her first child, Lamonte.

Ruth loved hanging out with family and friends, playing cards, and doing crossword and sudoku puzzles. For all that truly knew her, knows she was the life of a party, eager to help others and always spoke her mind.

Ruth had a few jobs throughout her life but her most memorial one was at the Solo Cup Company in Federalsburg, MD.

Ruth leaves numerous memories to cherish with her mother, Mary Alice Blue, step-father, Willie Blue of Federalsburg, MD, three brothers; James Bolden, Kevin Bolden and Terrance Bolden, three children; Darsheka Nichols, Darcy Nichols Jr. and Lamonte Washington, sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition, she also adored her favorite and very special aunt, Margaret Collins of Rhodesdale, MD, cousins; Yvette Bolden, Selena Davis, Chickeshia “Keshia” Bolden, Audrey Batson, Passion Bolden Tilghman, Yvonne Brummell and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
