Ruby Ann Roberts, the rock of our family was called home to rest at the age 83 on January 31, 2026. Ruby was born to the late Curtis H. Jenkins and Ruby Mae (Johns) Jenkins on March 11, 1942 in Caroline County, Maryland. She was the youngest daughter of ten children.
She attended Jonestown Elementary and completed the 11th grade at Lockerman High School. She later returned to Chesapeake College where she earned her GED/Diploma in the 1990's.
On September 18, 1961 Ruby married Phillip Garfield Roberts to whom she was deeply devoted, and together they raised their five children: Phillip Jenkins, Lorraine, Jeanette, and Kevin Roberts and Jacqueline Goslee.
Ruby had various jobs, including Coldwater Seafood in Cambridge MD, she was a supervisor at Country Pride and ConAgra in Hurlock MD, and she also did private setting. Leading to her retirement she was recognized for her leadership abilities. As a supervisor she impacted so many people who became lifelong friends.
Ruby was a faithful member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Preston, MD. She enjoyed serving and worshipping with her entire church community, she also loved being in the kitchen, decorating and arranging flowers for homecoming.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons, Phillip (Mac) Jenkins (Willanda) and Kevin Roberts (Hope) of Hurlock MD, three daughters; Lorraine (Molly) Roberts of Cambridge MD, Jeanette (Juicy) Roberts of Hurlock MD, and Jacqueline (Jackie) Goslee (Tony) of Sharptown MD, and one granddaughter she raised as her own, Rodesha Cephas (William) of Cambridge MD, 19 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jermone Jenkins of Hurlock MD and Dennis Jenkins of Harrisburg PA, three sisters-in-law; Virginia Peterson, Shirley Roberts, and Beatrice Craft, three special children she always called her own, Larry Henneghen Sr., Francine Clark, and Debra Washington, three special friends; Mamie Parker, Elois Johnson and Barbara Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip (Phil) Roberts, daughter, Carolyn Roberts, granddaughter, Latasha Roberts, and siblings Edward, Curtis Jr, Robert, Frankie, Violeece, Betty, and Delores.
