Ruby Victoria Carter

Ruby Victoria “Bus” Carter age 94, was born July 7, 1927 and raised in Easton MD She departed her life on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Talbot  hospice house in Easton Maryland. She was the daughter of Nannie and William Carter Sr.

Ruby was educated in the Unionville colored school. She was a domestic worker and homemaker. Ruby was the matriarch of her family. She was passionate about cooking, her family, gospel music and loved her some Jesus. She was an active long time member of the St. Marks united Methodist church of Easton.

She was the caregiver of both her parents and daughter Florence until they gained their wings. Ruby enjoyed spending time with her sister Katie. They always laughed and joked about the old days. Ruby loved laughing until tears would run down her face. Especially when watching Redd Fox as she called it. She was a strong, loving, kind and compassionate woman. Ruby touched many lives and will truly be missed.

Ruby is survived by her two children Doris Lawrence (Paul) and Carlette Carter (Sharon). Her bonus children Cheryl Brooks, Stevie Brooks and Rennie Nichols. 12 grandchildren; Brandon, Tykev, Mariah, Lisa, Shay, Ruth, Sylvia, Cindy, Tony, Ashanti, Alyssa and Demita. 13 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. Her special nephews jimmy butler and Keith Robinson. special nieces Bernice Robinson (Kenny), Agnes Hubbard, Cathy Robinson and Lisa Robinson. Special friends Doris Powell, Betty gatson and a host of Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
