Rosalyn Stephanie Farrow of Hurlock, Maryland transitioned after a brief illness on September 17, 2024, at the University of Maryland Hospital Center, Baltimore, Maryland. She was 69 years old.
Rosalyn was born on February 21, 1955, the daughter of the late James and Mary Evelyn Cornish Farrow. She was affectionally known to her family as “Momma”, “Roz”, “Fish”, “Aunt Rozzie/WaWa”, and “Aunt Nona”. Lastly, the nickname “Hurricane Roz” was given to her at Shore Health Systems.
Roz was an active member of Hurlock United Methodist Church, Hurlock, MD.
She graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1973 with Honors. Then she attended Chesapeake Community College for one year.
Roz enjoyed playing Bingo, Lottery Numbers, Scratch-offs, Keno, Cooking, and Reading. Roz LOVED her family with everything she had. She was consistently texting/calling her family members and friends to check on them.
Roz's employment started with Belle Haven Nursing Home, leading her to the Quik Shop and lastly to Shore Health Systems, retiring in 2018 (Supervisor/Coordinator of Sterile Processing) for health reasons. Roz was a survivor of Double Lung Transplant (December 2016).
Roz was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Zuri Farrow, and brother-in-law James C. Parker, Sr.
Her only son survives Roz: Bryan Dwayne Farrow (Shalanda) of Easton, MD, her cherished newfound grannies Ka’Desha, Tionna, A.J., Kayla, and Londyn; and her bonus son, nephew Lamont Farrow, five siblings, James Michael Farrow, Sr. (Lydia) of Spring Lake, N.C., Gregory Farrow (Viola) of Denton, MD., Maurice Farrow (Doris) of Fayetteville, N.C, Theresa Farrow (Will York) of Houston, TX and Ingrid Farrow-Parker, of Hurlock, MD; special nieces; Janelle Parker and her son Miles, Filicia Farrow-Jernigan, special nephew, Jay Parker, a longtime friend, Mnason Townsend, her University of Maryland Baltimore Hospital Center, appointment driver, cousin, Voghnne Adams, and riding buddy Carylon Hitch and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
