Ronald Lee Nichols affectionately known as ‘Ronnie” departed this life on Friday November 3, 2023 at Baltimore VA Medical Center.

Born on July 28, 1949 to the late Otis Cornish Sr. and Ethel Nichols. He was educated in the Seaford Public Schools. Ronnie worked for Conagra, and then he became a self-employed truck driver.

Ronnie loved driving the truck and would often share stories about going different places he traveled. He was a very kind man who was always willing to help others along the way. Ronnie had a love for his children, grandchildren and he also opened up his home to many foster children.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth of 36 years. He leaves to cherish his fond memories: two daughters, Ronnett Stanley (Andre) of Federalsburg, MD, Ronda Courson (Daniel) of Port Saint Lucie, FL; three sons; Ronald Nichols, Jr (Cherry) of East New Market, MD, Ronnell Nichols (De’Shinna) of Cambridge, MD, Gary Jones (Sharon) of Easton, MD, seven adopted children; Latrice Fosque (Philip) of St. Michaels, MD, Brittany Smith (Ameen) of Cambridge, MD, Thominita Dyson-Nichols of Preston, MD, Tyler Nichols of Ridgely, MD, William Nichols of Jessup, MD, Javontay Nichols of Easton, MD, Major Nichols of Preston, MD, twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine, great-grandchildren, two sisters, Sandra Evans of Elkridge, MD,and Carolyn Cornish of Bridgeville, DE, three sisters-in-law; Darlene Wilmer of Denton, MD, Roselee Wilkins of Preston, MD, and Brendette Wilkins of Cordova, four brothers-in-law; James Wilson of Unionville, MD, Isaac Copper (Christine) and Charles Wilkins both of Easton, MD, Wendell David Hayman of Preston, MD, special cousin, Pastor Diane Alexander and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Cornish, Sr. and Ethel Nichols; brother, Otis Cornish, Jr., brothers-in-law; James Wilkins, Jr., Edwin Wilmer and sister-in-law Bernice Wilson.
