Romaine Felton

Romaine Terlesia Felton Johnson was called to be with our Heavenly Father on June 28, 2023 at AAMC in Annapolis, Maryland.

Romaine was born on February 27, 1965 to Laura and James Wallace. She graduated from the Queen Anne County public school system. She also attended Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD.

Romaine had various jobs throughout her life which include, working in the seafood industry with her parents, Safeway, and Target in Kent Island, MD until she passed.

Romaine also known as “Tee” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved and enjoyed living her life. She had a passion for cooking, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, riding around in her nice car with her children, friends and her little dog, who she loved dearly.  She also enjoyed cook-outs and entertaining family and friends at her home on her deck. She had a laugh that would pierce your ears. Tee was a kind, loving and gentle person and was loved by many.

Romaine’s mother-in-law, Naomi Haynes of Grasonville, Maryland was very special in her life. She loved Tee and was always there lending her gentle kindness and support for her and her family. She had a special friend, Autumn, who cared for her until her passing.

Romaine was preceded in death by her loving parents Laura and James Wallace.

Romaine leaves to mourn, her devoted husband of many years, Michael Avon Johnson and the son they shared, Michael Avon Johnson Jr. (who she called Sweet Pea), one daughter Shanika Burke, two granddaughters, Zhinasha and Destiny Jenkins, two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Nevaeh, one sister, “Jennie” and host of other family and friends.

Romaine leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness to all of those whose lives she touched.
