Renwick Lonnie Jenkins, Sr. of Rhodesdale, MD was born on December 27, 1954 to the late Ida Louise Dockins Jenkins and the late Weldon Henry Jenkins Sr. Sadly he passed away on July 29, 2023 at the age of 68.
Renwick received his education in the Dorchester County public school system. He was a graduate of the class of 1973. He was known as the class clown and was loved by many because he was a fun person to be around.
Renwick was no stranger to hard work, he held several jobs throughout his life including; working on the family farm planting watermelons, he also worked at Purity Bacon, Perdue Farms, and Pillsbury (Kraft Foods) until he retired.
Renwick enjoyed his TV, never missing Monday Night Raw, Friday Night Smackdown, his western cowboys and his favorite team, the Golden State Warriors to see his favorite player, Stephen Curry. He also enjoyed eating.
Renwick was one of a kind, and his friendly demeanor allowed him to make a friend wherever he went. His family was a priority to him, he was always there for them, especially his children and grandchildren. He was willing to help anyone in need and because of his personality people would stop at nothing to help him. He was a strong man and most admired for his strength and love. Those who knew him, know him to be free spirited and having his own mind. He would tell you about yourself and the next minute he’d talk to you like nothing happened. To know him was to love him. He will always be remembered for his farewell greeting, “It’s never good-bye, its see you later and have a blessed day”.
Renwick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Royce Welden Jenkins, Weldon Henry Jenkins Jr., Dwight Garnell Jenkins and Ellsworth Jenkins,
Renwick leaves to cherish precious memories, his children; Ruffin Downes, Renwick Jenkins Jr. and Tia Jenkins, sisters, Tonya Jenkins and Oglazia Blake, grandchildren; Rakeem Jenkins-West, Prince Downes, Stori Downes, Zaniea Blake, Zaryah Jenkins, ZeAnnah Blake, Zyania Adams, Ty'BreAsia Adams,R’Eoreal Jenkins, and Raemear Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
