Reba Lurenda Stanley Magee transitioned to her eternal rest on February 13, 2021 at the Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Denton, MD. Reba was born on May 30, 1931 in Caroline County to the late Purnell and Goldie Jackson Stanley.
Reba was affectionately called Mom, Mom-Mom, Mom Reba, Aunt Reba, and Reba. She loved cooking special white potato pies and baked pineapple. Reba loved sharing her meals with family and friends. Reba would welcome you with a good morning laugh whether it was morning, afternoon or night. She also loved going to the auction and sales.
Reba received her education in the Caroline County public school system. She was a member of the class of ‘49ers. She loved being in her classmates’ outtings and get-togethers. Reba attended the Adult Day Care in Denton, MD.
Reba did domestic work for both the English and the McMahan family in Federalsburg, MD. She also worked at Caroline Poultry and at Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg for 40+ years as a press operator and relief person.
Reba started her Christian walk as a child at Holland’s Mission Church (John Wesley) in Federalsburg, MD and later at Zion United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, MD. Reba was also a member of the United Methodist Women.
Reba leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Joyce Magee of Federalsburg, MD, sons; Milton Magee of Long Beach, CA, Shawn Magee (Paulette) of Seaford, DE, and Anthony Hartley, a daughter/daughter-n-law, Linda Stanley Evans, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, three sisters; Daisy Bolden of Federalsburg, MD, Delores Greene of Hurlock, MD, and Lolita Stanley of Seaford, DE, special sister, Verona Waller of Federalsburg, MD, sister-n-law, Connie Hawkins of Philadelphia, PA, brother-n-law, Kendell Magee (Louise) of Federalsburg, MD.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Goldrick Magee, special friend Frances Webb, three sons; William Stanley, Landis and Rennard Magee, one sister, Flora Fletcher, four brothers; William, Maurice, Thomas, and Mervin Stanley.
