Quintella Julie (Rich) Emory

Quintella Julie Emory affectionately known as “Quinney” was born on September 11, 1931 in Denton, MD to the late William and Mary Rich.

Quinney earned her angel’s wings on November 2, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in her home.

Quinney graduated from Lockerman High School in Denton, MD in January 1952. She married her beloved husband of fifty years, William Clayton Emory Sr. and was blessed with eight children. Quinney’s full time occupation was domestic work and taking great care of her family. She was a dedicated member of Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Denton, MD.

Quinney loved working outside doing many different things especially working in her front yard planting various flowers. She loved walking and talking to everyone along the way. She also loved being around family and friends.

In addition to Quinney’s parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Emory, Sr., grandson, Cornelius Green, brothers, William Rich, George Acree, Elwood Rich, sisters, Lucille Rich and Dorothy Johnson, and a special niece, Annette Rich.

Quinney is survived by seven daughters; Cynthia Green, (Thomas), Sylvia Emory, Linda Emory, Brenda Emory (Mark), Willia Boyce (Rodney), Rosemary Stanford, Marie Pitts (Jackie), one son, William Emory, sister, Reba Ringgold, close family friends, Linda Howard, Rosetta “Bee” Williams, Brain McKewen, Linda Brummell, one granddaughter-n-law, eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
