Pauline Alice Reiher, 79 years of age, of Trappe, Maryland, passed away on February 7, 2026 in Easton, Maryland surrounded by her children. Pauline was born June 16, 1946 in Queens, New York to Paul Zabeline and Margaret Zamatin.
She graduated from the University of Mount St Vincent with a Bachelor of Arts and then earned a Master’s Degree in Librarian Science from St John’s University. Pauline worked as a children’s and reference librarian, retiring from Wayne Public Library, New Jersey in 2012.
Pauline was an avid reader who loved to discuss books and politics, as well as a talented cook. She loved traveling and exploring new places. She loved to spend time with family and valued her dear life-long friends. Her sweet laugh and willingness to listen and care will be sorely missed. Pauline had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing as a volunteer cantor at St Joseph’s church in West Milford, NJ.
She is survived by her children; Nicholas, Daniel, and Alexandra; daughter-in-law, Joy, son-in-law, Thomas, and grand-daughter, Aislinn.
