We are heartbroken to share that Patricia Louise Waters, 65 of Hurlock, passed away peacefully on April 6 surrounded by her family. She was proceeded in death by her father, Gilbert Waters. 

Born December 5, 1960 to Gilbert and Mildred Cephas-Waters. Patricia graduated  from North Dorchester High School in 1978 where she excelled academically. After graduating she attended Goldey Beacon College, graduating in 1980 with an Associate’s Degree in Business. The next chapter of her life she became employed with Cambridge Wire Cloth as a purchasing agent for 20 years. The later years of her employment were spent with in customer service with Service Today, Medifast, and lastly, Sisk Fulfillment. 

Patricia was a dedicated and faithful member of Hurlock United Methodist Church. She served as a greeter, a member of United Women in Faith, as well as a member of the praise team. She will be best remembered for her kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need. Her love for the church allowed her to mentor and teach many children in vacation bible school and Jesus and the Pizza Man.

Patricia is survived by her mother Mildred Waters, children Patrick (Pilana)Sampson, United States Navy stationed in Norfolk, VA, Brittany Farrare of Hurlock, MD and Damien (Kiana) Farrare of Bear, DE; her grandchildren Sohalia Sampson, Josiah Farrare, Imani Sampson, King Lake, Kayden Gray, Niara Farrare, Kobe Sampson, and Damien Farrare Jr; her siblings Shirley (Elbert) Hicks of Rockhall, MD, Sandra (Tyrone) Friend of New Castle, Delaware, Gloria Jenkins of Hurlock, MD, Brian (Debbie) Waters of Easton, MD and Glendora (Ronnie) Stanford of Cordova, MD, a host of nieces and nephews, four bonus grandchildren; Somauri Whittaker, Geno Whittaker, Kayla Gray, and Ariyana Lake. Patricia is also survived by a very special companion of 25 years, Reggie Hughes. Also, two special friends; Ingrid Parker and Barbara Jones, a special niece, Taniya Waters and two godchildren, Jay and Janelle Parker.
