Nancy was born in Easton, MD on March 2, 1958, the daughter of Hazel Jenkins. She was affectionately known as “Nanny” and “Nanny Goat” to some of her family and friends.
Nancy was raised in Cordova, MD and was educated in Talbot County Public Schools. She graduated from Easton High School with the class of 1977. She was later employed at Black & Decker, Allen Family Foods, and Holiday Inn until she retired. Nancy was quiet and soft spoken, but always brought joy to everyone and would brighten any room with her laughter; always looking and listening for something funny to laugh at. She loved helping people and she enjoyed cooking, especially those yeast rolls. Her kids loved those rolls and the homemade Chicken Pot Pies. Nancy enjoyed taking rides to Seaford, DE shopping in Roses, where she would stock up on things for her house. Nancy was very organized; precise would be the word to describe her, she kept a record of everything, and we mean everything. Nancy did not play when it came to paying her bills on time. She had so many talents, some were, drawing, knitting blankets, making clothes, and if you ever went to her home, you would see the many DIY projects that would amaze you. Nancy was known for braiding her own hair and anyone else who asked. She enjoyed bowling and was in a league at the Easton Bowling Alley, where she received several trophies. She treasured holiday gatherings with her family, especially Christmas. Nancy loved her kids dearly. She would take that ride to see her son as often as she could and whenever her daughter was in the hospital, she was right there. But her grandson was her heart, he brought her so much joy; Nancy treasured every moment with him.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hazel Warner, whom she loved dearly. Aunts, Hattie Mae Warner, Alice Little, Lillian Warner, and Pearl Oliva. One uncle, Phillip Warner.
