Mary B "Mickey" House Obituary

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”
Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Mary B. “Mickey” House was born on April 6, 1927, to the late Clarence Acree and Bernice
Acree. She departed this life on August 7, 2020 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New York.
She was 93 years old. She received her education in the Caroline County Public School
system. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (great) (great-great), sister, aunt,
and friend.

Mary would later meet the love of her life, the late US SGT William Handsome House, and
was blessed together with three children who she loved dearly. She took great pride in
raising her children.

She loved to travel with her family and made each excursion memorable on the numerous
road trips from New York to Maryland, she was known to be heavy on the petal.

Throughout her life she worked many jobs in various fields. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed
shopping, cooking, cracking jokes, sewing, talking on the phone and she was known to cut
a rug. Mary loved her children, but she held a special place in her heart for her
grandchildren known to them as “Mommy”. There was no greater happiness in spending
time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was great joy and unconditional
love for each of them and we can say the best times of her life were being a grandmother.
She was a grandmother who took on the role as a “mother” attending doctor appointments,
school plays, track meets, dance recitals, birthdays, baby showers, weddings and so much
more. She was everything to her grandchildren. She gave of them unconditional love,
kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And most importantly love.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William H. House,
her son William T House, her sisters Geneva Rollins aka Gee, Margaret Wilson aka Mug,
Marian Haynes aka Petie, Edwina Blake aka Big Jim, Dorothy Murray aka Dot and Great
Grandson Censir “Casa” House.

Mary leaves to celebrate and cherish her very precious legacy, her most favorite people in
the world: two children, Toni Mosley and Denise House; eleven grandchildren, Bonita
(Bunnie), William II(Shawana), Yolanda, Shakara, Derrick, Sondra, Jamar, Justin, Shanta,
Chiffon(Dave) and Whitney. Twenty-five great grandchildren Richard, Futura, Jae Key,
William III, Cody, Laila, Jah’Kiyah, Jachae, Jaedyn, Little Derrick, Jordan, Madison, Tori,
King Mason, Major William, Levi, Malachi, Tarah, Scott II, James III, Aidan, David, Tavia,
Deandra and Tamara. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and honorary
children and grandchildren.
