Mary Elizabeth Holland of Preston, Maryland, was born on June 8, 1926, in Easton, MD to the late Robert Sylvester Goldsborough and Bertha Lee Harris. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at her home in Preston MD.
Mary was preceded in death by two sons, Frederick Ray Holland, and Robert Goldsborough, son-in-law, Ronald Tuner Sr., and a very special aunt, Ernestine Boulden.
Mary Elizabeth lived in Unionville, MD where she attended elementary school taught by Martha Green. She then moved to South Carolina where she enrolled in a private school for girls. Upon graduating, she moved to New York City with her father and stepmother.
Mary Elizabeth lost her husband Deacon Fred Holland one year ago at the age of 97. Mary Elizabeth was a member of Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a devoted member of the usher board, choir and missionaries.
Mary is survived by four daughters, Ernestine Turner, Joyce Camper (Richard) all of Easton MD, Regina Holland of Preston, MD and Charlene Holland of Dover, DE, daughter in-law, Hannah Victoria Goldsborough, eleven grandchildren Alison Copper of Goose Creek, SC, Curtis Turner of Gambrills, MD, Tuana Goldsborough of Dover, DE, Tamara Goldsborough of Salisbury, MD, Nicole Burrowes of Charlotte, NC, Aaron Holland of Easton, MD, Carson Miller of Connecticut, Terrance Coursey of Atlanta, GA, Stephen Coursey of Columbus OH, Teran Goldsborough of Dover, DE, and Kristin N’wadike of Easton, MD, sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, a stepdaughter Josephine Seth and her son Marcel Seth and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
