Mark Ellis Washington, Jr.
July 26, 1979 ~ January 29, 2024 (age 44) 44 Years Old
Mark Ellis Washington Jr. of Bridgeville, DE was born on July 26, 1979 at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD to the late Rhoda Marie Farmer-Washington and Mark Ellis Washington Sr. Mark transitioned to glory at the age of 44 on Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home.
Mark known to family as "Bootney" and others as "Big Mark" or "Dark Angel" as he called himself. He graduated from Laurel Senior High School in Laurel, DE class of 1997. He later went onto JobCorp. Mark gave his life to the Lord before he became a teenager. He attended "Bedside Baptist" and was a virtual member of Weapons of Warfare Ministries Inc. in Salisbury, MD under the leadership of Overseer Temerius Drummond and Pastor Erica Drummond. He loved watching wrestling, football, and also loved his soap operas (stories). In his spare time, he spent it with his lil' "BIG" brother Michael and enjoyed traveling going on vacation with him. When not watching TV, you could find him playing cards with his crew Deline & her daughter Royalty, Mrs. Roxanne, Mrs. Reed and George.
Mark was loved by all he came in contact with, he had a big heart. Mark would get his hair braided faithfully every week by his aide Gracie. Mark was the building door keeper and security LOL.
In addition to his parents Mark was preceded in death by both his maternal grandparents, the late Cornelia Jones and Timothy Farmer Jr. and his paternal grandparents, the late Mary Ellen Batson-Washington and Robert Edward Washington.
Beautiful memories of Marks life will forever be cherished by his Baby "Big" brother, Michael Washington of Seaford, DE, his godson My'Tez Hunt of Seaford, DE, sis-in-law, Tasha Thompson-Washington of Seaford, DE, godmom and aunt, Sandra Beulah of Federalsburg, MD, aunt Connie Boyd (Rob) of Federalsburg, MD, two nieces, Anshae Nichols of Bridgeville, DE and X'eona Jones of Dover, DE, one nephew, Kh'marae Bessicks of Dover, DE, and a host of uncles, cousins, and friends.
