Obituary

Mable Strawberry – Butler, 97, of Hurlock, MD departed this life on Friday, September 16, 2022 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Roland and Emma Strawberry.

Mable received her education in the Dorchester County school system. She worked at the Harper and Bateman Company until she retired to be a homemaker.

Mable loved the Lord, you could always catch her praying and singing. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. In her earlier years she loved gardening and riding with various family members and friends.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Emma Strawberry, husband, Franklin W. Butler, son, Ellsworth Butler Sr. (Theresa), daughter, Barbara Parker (Levin), sisters; Elise Lankford and Daisy Strawberry, brothers; A. Randolph and Leroy Strawberry, son-in-law, Alton Banks Sr., four grandchildren and one great grandchild and a host of sisters and brothers-n-laws.

Mable leaves to cherish loving memories with her children; William Butler (Cassie) of Preston, MD, Wanda Banks, Garry Butler, and Beverly Butler all of Hurlock, MD, twenty-three grandchildren; Reginald Parker Sr. (Alisa), Teresa Parker (Rodney), Tyrone Parker (Jennifer), Wayne Butler (Arnetta), John McNeil (Shemeka), Bruce Butler (LeQuia), Brian Butler, Vanda McNeil (Ronte), Tawanda Redding (James), Sharonda Butler, Ellsworth Butler, Alton Banks Jr., Keiona Banks, Howard Butler (Elissa), Montzell, Conchita, Vanessa (Faheim), Vernita, Dorothy (Melvin), Addie (Ray), Linda, Deborah (Henry), Phillip, sixty-six great grandchildren and 56 great-great grandchildren and four great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
