Lottie M. Cephas Camper, at the tender age of 102 and in the presence of her family at home, earned her angel wings on August 25, 2025. Lottie was born on November 9, 1922 in Williamsburg, MD, the daughter of Roland W. Cephas and Mary Frances V. Hubbard Cephas. She attended public school in Thompsontown, MD.
Lottie worked at various jobs in the area and retired from Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg, MD with over 15 years of service. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing arts and crafts and tending to flowers. Lottie loved spending time with her family, doing puzzles and playing board games (Monopoly, Pokeno & Left, Right, Center) into the wee hours of the morning with her children and grandchildren. She was a fierce competitor when it came to board games. Watching soap operas, anything Tyler Perry, Snapped and Discovery ID were a few of her favorite things to do, as well.
After retirement, Lottie began traveling with her family. She especially like cruise vacations and lounging on the Lido deck with a Pina Colado, while cruising to most of the Caribbean Islands and Mexico. She also enjoyed going on road trips to Florida, Georgia and Alabama.
Left to honor her memory and remember her love are her children: Constance Faulk, Grovetown, GA, Stephanie Camper-Young (Ralph), Salisbury, MD, Dwayne Camper, Hurlock, MD and Tonya Mitchell (Edgar), Essex, MD; sister and brother, Mildred Waters and Solomon Cephas (Doris), Hurlock, MD; grandchildren, Calvin Wilcox II, Kevin Wilcox, Montez Smith, Yvonne Camper, Antonio Murray II and Broderick Purnell; bonus granddaughters, Brittany King, Denicca Smith and Sharon Matthews; 13 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, including special niece, Claudelisa Thomas, nephews, Douglas Cephas and Gregory Cephas, caretaker, Margaret Aldridge Jones and home health aide, Kim Meadows.
