Lisa Marie Young Obituary

Lisa Marie Young passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026 surrounded by family in Easton, Maryland. She was born on August 5, 1965 in Camp Springs, Maryland to Stella and Oscar Fox. A loving and devoted mother, wife and sister, Lisa will forever be remembered by the countless lives she touched with her kindness, warmth and positive energy.

Lisa graduated from La Reine High School in Suitland, Maryland where she excelled in academics and athletics including track & field, softball and tennis. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Towson University where she was also a star on the women’s tennis team and a leader in total wins during her playing career.

After graduation, Lisa embarked on a highly successful 35-year career in banking and real estate with a particular focus on the mortgage industry. During her time as a Branch Sales Manager at HSBC, Lisa's office was ranked multiple times as one of the top ten national performing offices. She was greatly admired for her client skills, industry knowledge, integrity and ability to deliver outstanding results no matter the challenge.

She remained a competitive tennis player her entire life and was also an avid golfer with a beautiful swing who enjoyed playing with friends and family whenever possible. Lisa enjoyed reading, baking, going to the beach, being in nature, and taking long hikes with her husband and children on Maryland's Eastern Shore. She also loved hosting the annual Fox Family reunion in Grasonville, Kent Island, Easton and other Eastern Shore locations, organizing crab feasts, golf tournaments and being our family historian.

Above all, Lisa loved spending time with her family and four beautiful children. She was always an extremely supportive, caring, thoughtful and selfless Mom who was forever ready with a big warm hug and the right words of encouragement. Her boundless love, optimism, fortitude, humor and ability to find joy in all things, large and small, will live on through them.

Lisa is survived by her husband Steve Young; children Maggie Yates, Carolina Yates, Rachel Yates and James Yates; step-children Donovan Young and his wife Katie and son Graham, and Bryce Young and his wife Nicole and son Wyatt; and brothers Gregory Fox, Gary Fox and his wife Leslie, Mark Fox and his wife Lisa, Robert Fox and his wife Tracy, and Richard Fox and his wife Jennifer. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Margie Fox and her wife Mary Russell.
