Linda C. Trice, also known as “Lynn” by friends and family and “Lucy” to her younger sister, was the daughter of the late Howard Trice and Nannie-Sue Eldridge.
Linda was born on July 8, 1949, in Charlottesville, Virginia. She departed this life on November 12, 2024, at the age of 75.
Linda and family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1952. There, Linda began her education. The family later moved to Trappe, Maryland in 1959. Linda was educated in the Talbot County School system, attended Moton High School in Easton, Maryland.
Linda moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after her schooling but returned to Talbot County, residing in Easton, Maryland, perusing an occupation in nursing in pediatrics at Easton Memorial Hospital. Linda later became a dental assistant in the Easton area. Linda moved to the Washington DC area to help take care of her ill mother. After her mother’s death in 1996, Linda stayed in the DC area, where she retired.
Linda enjoyed knitting, sewing, arts and crafts, board games and card games. In her later years, Linda took joy in coloring and painting, especially for family, loved ones and Caroline Nursing and Rehab where she resided.
Linda was a member of Queen Esther A.M.E. Church of Easton, Maryland as a youth. Later, Linda became a member of Union Baptist Church of Easton, Maryland. And a long-time member of Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington, DC under the leadership of Rev. Willie F. Wilson to the present Dr. Anika Wilson-Brown.
Linda is survived by her son, Derrick Trice Sr. of Middle River, Maryland; grandson, Derrick Trice Jr. and daughter-in-law, Kim Trice of Eden, Maryland, one sister, Teresia Eldridge of Easton, Maryland, nephew, Marion Eldridge of St. Michaels, Maryland, two nieces, Robyn Mills of Dover, Delaware, and Brandi Nichols of Easton, Maryland and an extended family of loving great-nieces, a great-nephew, cousins and godchildren.
