Levin Luther Fletcher departed this life on February 3, 2023, he was the son of Milbourne and Leola Fletcher. Luther was born on March 24, 1926. He was married to Mable C. Fletcher (deceased) for 60 years.
Luther was preceded in death by three brothers; Milbourne, Lester, Robert, and two sisters; Helen Fletcher Ward and Mary Fletcher Montgomery.
Luther enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was awarded the World War II ribbon and other metals and ribbons. After his discharge, he was employed with Adkins Lumber Co. and worked for 36 years until he retired, he chose other gainful employment until he was unable to work. Luther was the handyman in Hurlock. If it was broke, he would try to fix it and if it needed building he would be there with his hammer.
Luther leaves to mourn three daughters, Valena Roberson (Hurlock), Valerie Stokes (Virginia) and Rita D Fletcher (Texas), one brother, Vernon Fletcher (Hurlock), five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, two special friends; Howard Ackerman (Jitterbug), Nathaniel Williams (Lucky), his church family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
To know Luther was to love him because he was always lending a helping hand.
