Leona S. (Lake) Dorleans

Leona S. Lake Dorleans of Federalsburg, MD was born on May 11, 1959, and the Lord called her home on May 5, 2024. Leona, who was affectionately known as “Lee Lee” was the daughter of Eva Mae Williams Lake and the late Wilbur Leroy Lake, Sr.

Lee Lee received her education in the Caroline County School District and graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in 1977. Lee Lee worked in many fields including retail at Walmart and the healthcare field. She was recently employed at the Chesapeake Center as a CMT.  She had a passion for helping to take care of others.

Lee Lee had one daughter, Lakiea Jackson and one grandchild, Kiana Jackson who affectionately called her “Boop Boop” from the time she could talk.

Some of her hobbies were reading a good book, playing cards, and going to bingo.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Wilbur Lake, Jr.

Lee Lee leaves behind to cherish her memories, her mother, Eva Lake, daughter Lakiea Jackson, granddaughter Kiana Jackson, brother Clyde Williams, sister Roberta “Birdie” Smith, sister Irene Gibbs (Otis), and brother, Sam Lake. She also leaves to cherish her memories uncles Joseph Claggett (Patricia), George Williams (Lottie), Larry Williams and a host of cousin, nieces and nephews, special companion Virgil Simms, and close friends: Patsy Jones, Deborah Greene, Pam Luke, Kathy Jules, Joan Murray, and Cornell Murray.
