Lena Mae Phillips Obituary

Lena Mae Rebecca Phillips, 66 of Federalsburg, Maryland departed this life on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Linwood Phillips and Marjorie Armstrong Phillips.

Lena was born on June 28, 1958 in Easton, Maryland. She was educated in the Caroline County Public school system. She worked various jobs, however her favorite one was working for Hospice in Denton, MD.  In 1993, Lena dedicated her life to the Lord. This spiritual journey presented Lena with an authentic sparkle in her soul. One of her proudest moments was when she became an ordained evangelist. She was a faithful woman of God, and used her God given gifts to be there for others. Her bible was never too far from her side.

Second to her love for God was her love for her one and only child, Sheena, a truly unbreakable bond between mother and daughter. All that knew Lena knew that Sheena was the apple of her eye along with her “sweet grand-babies” Shya & Sean that she loved dearly. She was truly a family woman, who was always there for everyone she loved. She was known as the prayer warrior among her friends and family. She was always someone that family and friends could always count on for a God sent prayer. She enjoyed playing Monopoly with her grandchildren, shopping, making jewelry, and going to church. She was known for always looking fabulous when she stepped out to go to church.

Lena is survived by her daughter, LaSheena Molineaux of Nottingham MD, one granddaughter, Kashya Molineaux of Nottingham, MD, one grandson, Ka’Sean Molineaux of Nottingham, MD,  five sisters; Marie Bell (Clezel) of Denton, MD, Patricia Brown of Federalsburg, MD, Marjorie Batson of  Federalsburg MD, Gloria Phillips of Wilmington DE & Mildred Horton of  Philadelphia, PA, one brother, Edwin Phillips (Peggy) of East New Market, MD, two nieces; Recale Bell & Shalon Smith, Seven nephews; Joseph Phillips, Dontele Pinder, Randy Bell, Tyrone Batson, Tyron Batson, Ronnie Bell & Donel Bell and two very special first cousins that were like sisters to her: Linda Weeks-Wilmer and Sharon Barrett and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Linwood Phillips, her nephew, Theodore Johnson Jr., two nieces, Donielle Johnson & Shan'Tae Johnson.
