Leatrice Inathia Fountain went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, after a short stay at the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD. She was born on November 3, 1957, to the late Henry S. Fountain II and Velma (Seth) Fountain.
“Booker” as she was affectionately called, graduated with the class of 1977 from North Caroline High School. She loved to play basketball in high school, which she enjoyed very much. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, cousin and friend. Her favorite hobbies were going to Bingo with her mom, playing her lottery, playing cards and dancing at the Sunset Grill in St. Michaels, MD. Booker loved to cook her famous barbeque chicken, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. She also loved spaghetti.
Booker leaves to cherish her memories of her only daughter, LaTanya Holley, brothers, Daryl Seth (Sandra Mosley) of Easton, MD, Henry R “Maine” Fountain (Vastina Fountain) of Harrington, DE, Wayne Cox (Martez)of Washington, DC, and Henry S. Fountain III, of Dover, DE, one sister that she loved dearly, Deborah Bowers (Carlton Bowers Sr.) of North Carolina, four granddaughters; Taniya Fountain, Ma’Nizh Brown, Shaleah and Shalara Fountain, two grandsons, Neliki Brown and Makhi Fountain, five great grandsons; Tay ’Shawn, Day’Shawn, Ja’Quel and Jacori Davis and Savion Smith Jr., one aunt, Margaret Seth, one uncle, Hoover Seth, eight nieces; Vanice L. Myers, Tonyett Fountain, Meshera Fountain, Crystal Wright, Mocha Brown, Shere’e Warren, Christina Rochester and Royzetta Fountain, four nephews; Kenneth “Kenny” Fountain, Lamontra (Lil Maine) Fountain, Henry S “Alphonso” Fountain IV, and Valerius “Lil Tuffy” Fountain Jr. her lifetime partner, Robert Holley, and countless cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
Booker was preceded in death by her father, Henry S. Fountain II, her loving son, Larry “Sparkle” Fountain, sister, Denise Fountain, brother-in-law, Gilbert Fields, brother, Valerius “Tuffy” Fountain and special devoted friend, Larry Dawson.
