Larry De’Angelo Dukes peacefully passed away on Saturday October 2, 2021 at Easton Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with Covid 19. He was 55 years old. Larry was born December 11, 1965 in Milford Delaware to Alfred W, Dukes Sr. and Coty M. Dukes. He was raised by his maternal grandmother Alice Nichols.
Larry attended school in Federalsburg Md. Growing up as a child Larry” loved “everything about tractor trailers. He would often go on short trips with the neighborhood truck drivers or spend all day sitting in their truck listening to music and pretending to drive. When he became old enough he followed his heart and became a truck driver. Later in his life he worked for different factories and warehouses. Larry enjoyed spending time at his home listening to old school music and cooking on the grill. He loved talking trash about the Redskins and drinking his beer. Larry had a heart of gold and a memory like an elephant. His Sunday mornings were dedicated to watching His pastor (as he would say) Gino Jennings on television.
He is survived by three children; De’Angelo Dukes of Hurlock Md, Derick Brooks of Ellendale DE, and Tiara Brooks of Seaford De. He also leaves to mourn four sisters; Carolyn Collins of Federalsburg Md, Lisa Dukes of Hurlock Md, Adriane Age-Ford of North Carolina, Nicole Jordan of New Jersey and one brother, Alfred Dukes of Philadelphia Pa. Larry will be greatly missed by a special friend, Marcella Bryant. He also has a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will cherish his memories.
Larry was proceeded in death by his grandmothers, Alice Nichols and Ada Watson, and his parents, Alfred Dukes Sr. and Coty Nichols Dukes.
