Larry Donell Dawson was born on September 5, 1953, to the late Kenneth Dawson Sr. and Evelyn Perkins-Dawson. He was the oldest of his parents’ six children.
Larry was born in Easton, MD and spent his adult life in Paulsboro, NJ. He received his education through Talbot County Public Schools. Larry began working as a farmer in his younger years in Cordova, MD. Larry began his career as a construction contractor. He enjoyed his career in construction where he would often brag about all the projects he worked on from the plumbing system all the way to the building of houses and/or buildings.
Larry was often caught around family and friends, whom he loved so dearly, when he wasn’t working. Oftentimes, Larry would be on the road in his truck to Maryland to make it to every family function. Larry became a friend and extended family member to multiple families in New Jersey; they would call him “Uncle Larry”, my brother and son.
On July 3, 2021, Larry unexpectedly departed this life for eternity after a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara Dawson, and his nephew Hysiene Carter, but Larry leaves to cherish his memory, one son Larry Fountain of Ridgely, MD; two granddaughters Shalara and Shaleah Fountain of Federalsburg, MD; one sister Glenda Dawson of Easton, MD; two brothers Wayne Perkins and Kenneth Dawson, Jr. of Easton, MD; one aunt Sarah Lake of Cambridge, MD; one uncle Silas Dawson of Preston, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
