Kenneth Watkins Obituary

Kenneth Watkins at the young age of 72, born in Florida and raised by his mother, Annie Watkins, and a village of family and community in Woodstown, New Jersey passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025. He fought a long and courageous battle with illness.

Kenny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1974 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He stood on business when it came to protecting his family, his ideals, and his beliefs.

He enjoyed cooking, fishing and listening to old school music. Cleaning and shopping were his enjoyment. He was a diehard EAGLES fan. Go Birds!

He worked at B&G foods and Black & Gold for several years in Hurlock Maryland where he was a dedicated forklift driver.

He was supported by a close-knit circle and held a lifelong friendship with his best friend Alyce Berdaux. Their bond was held together by the power of love, and family. A reminder that family structures and dynamics are provided by those who love, support, and uplift each other during difficult times and even special moments of celebration and happiness.

He will be remembered by those who encountered his one-of-a-kind laugh, his willingness to offer a listening ear or a helping hand.

He directly and indirectly touched so many lives that we may never know. While others that are here today, can reminisce on the affectionate impact he had on their lives. Kenny leaves two beautiful sisters, his baby sister, Evelyn who resides in Delaware. Evelyn, a strong, resilient and God-fearing woman who leaned on the Lord for hope and strength throughout the years, was Kenneth’s loudest cheerleader and health advocate.

He also leaves his sister, Claudia, who resides in Florida, children: Tunisia Sye Chandler (Leon), Kenneth Watkins (Paris), Jessica Brown, Monick Conway, and Treyvon Johnson, grandchildren: Nia-Symone Chandler, Naysa Chandler, Amoni Watkins, Joshua Colyer, and Nhamiza Chandler, Zayla Brown, Zendaya Johnson, Zaniyah Sewel, those he developed a strong friendship with in Maryland like; Thomas Newcomb, Kevin Lohr, and Martin Potter, along with a whole host of uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends across the country.
