Kathi Ferguson Born June 29 1952 to James and Jeanne Ferguson in East Orange, New Jersey. Passed peacefully at home on Tilghman Island, Maryland, March 7, 2024. Kathi attended Bradley University and Chicago Art Institute. Worked in various positions in Chicago,Washington DC and Alexandria Va. Left corporate world to follow her passions of art and writing. Finding her true home on Tilghman Island. She fell in love with the people, history, and the land. She shared those passions through her volunteer work, painting and freelance writing for Tidewater Times, Eastern Shores and other local magazines. Locally, Kathi worked at Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and Knapps Narrows Marina. Kathi fought many physical battles throughout her life. She didn't let them prevent her from achieving success or obtaining her goals. She met every challenge with courage, determination and strength. Her proudest moment was purchasing a home on Tilghman Island. Survivors are her mother Jeanne, brothers Bill and Don. Sister in law Linda, nephew Ryan (Emily), aunt Mary Lou (Boo), cousins Jeanne, Susan and Nancy and friends too numerous to mention. Kathi, we love you and will miss you but grateful to have had you in our lives. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
