Joi Patricia Miller

Joi Patricia “Patti” Miller of Tilghman, MD passed away at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Medical Center in Easton on Saturday, August 24, 2024 after a long, courageous battle with Breast Cancer. She was 59 years old.

Patti was born on May 8, 1965 to the late John Wayne States and Carol Ann Baynard. She graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1983 and married Troy Miller of Tilghman on December 8, 1984.

Patti enjoyed reading, gardening, sitting in the sun and her feet in the sand. She loved her family with everything that she had.

In addition to her husband Troy, Patti is survived by her only daughter, Nicole Sadler (Kent) of Sherwood MD; her cherished granddaughters, Kylie and Quinn; her father, Kemp Baynard of Bozman MD; siblings Shelley States, Michael States, Suzanne Roe (Chuckie), Bobby Baynard (Brenda), Jimmy Baynard (Cindy), Blair Cowan (Scott), Trisha Baynard, Kemp Baynard, Jr. (Heather), an uncle who was like a brother, Donny Campbell (Nancy) and several nieces and nephews close to her heart.

A celebration of life is planned for a later date.

The family would like to thank the countless Staff of the Cancer Center at UM Shore Regional Health who helped Patti over the years, the nurses at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Medical Center for their excellent care during her stay, and Talbot Hospice for giving her comfort and peace in her final days.
