Joel Every

Joel Every, age 88, of St. Michaels, Maryland, passed away on February 9, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  Joel was born April 18, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the only child of Samuel and Sylvia Every.  He was educated exclusively in Pennsylvania, graduating from Lower Merion High School, Lafayette College and Temple University Law School, where he was Editor of Temple Law Review.  He practiced law in Pennsylvania for over fifty-five years.  Joel is survived by his beloved wife, Frances, daughter, Joy Every (Gary Wortman) and their children, Lauren and Ella; son, Dr. Nathan Every (Lisa) and their children, Emma and Oliver; son, Kenneth Every (Nidhi) and their children, Miles and Elena; and daughter, Rachel Every (Adam Berger) and their children, Adin and Zachary.  Joel is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sharon Rose, cousins, Judith Mark and Stacey Mark, and nieces, Diann Rose and Joi Rose.  Joel loved the Philadelphia Eagles, good scotch, family, friends, and his devoted dog, Scout.  Joel never met a stranger.  The family would like to thank the staff at Talbot Hospice for their loving care in Joel's final days.
