JoAnn Delano

DENTON- JoAnn Delano of Denton, MD, gained her wings on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Easton Memorial Hospital. She was 63 years old. Born in Cambridge, MD, on September 14, 1957, JoAnn was the daughter of the late Anna Jean and Buddy Gore, of Cambridge, MD.

JoAnn attended Colonel Richardson High School.

JoAnn is survived by a loving family; three children: the late Kimberly Delano, Kelly Johnson and her husband Rodney Johnson of Denton, MD, and Nicki Delano, of Denton, MD; One brother and two sisters: Irving Gore of Hurlock, MD, Linda Coffman and her husband, Charlie Coffman, of Hurlock, MD, the late Diana Loftus; two grandchildren: Joshua Delano, of Federalsburg, MD and Jazmyn Delano, of Denton, MD; two great-grandchildren: Ava and Sunni Delano; several nieces and nephews, one very special niece Tracy Coffman-Newnam; and a bundle of friends, and family.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mark Delano, loving daughter Kimberly Delano, and sister Diana Loftus. JoAnn had a wonderful life filled with happiness and cherished memories. She was “mommy” to many over the years. JoAnn enjoyed nothing more than being a mother, a grandmother, and making everyone around her happy.

A Service of Celebration will be held privately by the immediate family only.
