Jimmie Craft Obituary

Jimmie Lee Craft, 73, of Federalsburg, MD passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 12, 2020 surrounded by his wife and family.  Jimmy was born on February 2, 1947 to the late Willie Craft, Sr. and Lillie Mae Thigpen in Crystal Spring, Mississippi.

Jimmie attended Brusy Creek Attendance Center (Middle School) and Holtz Claw High School in Crystal Springs, Mississippi.

Jimmie was married in holy matrimony to Josie Elizabeth “Pat” Craft on June 11, 1988.

Jimmie worked for Williamson Funeral Home under the director of H. Torbert Williamson for more than 40 years. Jimmie's many years of commitment and dedication to his work was known by everyone. He retired from Williamson Funeral Home in 2017. On March 18, 2018, Jimmie accepted the Lord as his personal saviour.

Jimmie loved socializing with others and entertaining his family and friends.  He also loved watching television.  Jimmie got along with everybody.  There wasn’t a person that he met that he couldn’t talk to or make friends with.

Jimmie leaves to celebrate and cherish his memories; his wife of 32 years, Josie Elizabeth Craft (better known as “Pat”; one stepson, Keith Brown (Veronica); stepdaughter, Kwalla Craft; two step-grandchildren, Dr. Keith Brown Jr. (Brandy), and Taylor Brown, two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Isabella Brown, one brother, Willie Craft Jr. of Mississippi, one dearly beloved sister, Freda Craft (Brian Miles), mother-in-law, Mary Brown of Jacksonville, FL, sisters-in-law, Shirley Bellamy of Jacksonville, FL, and a very special sister-n-law, Rose Lawson of Trappe, MD, three brothers-in-law; William Stephens (Altamease) of Durham, N.C., Benny Brown (Beverly), Joe Brown (Elizabeth), a special niece and nephew Aiesha and Daimean. Jimmie also leaves to cherish his ex-wife, Beatrice Craft, two very special dedicated friends, Alexander and Joan Murray and his favorite first cousin, Robert Lee Yates.
