Jeanne M. Ferguson of Tilghman, MD passed away on May 19, 2026. She was born on August 10, 1929, to John and Alice Mervin. She grew up in New Jersey.

In 1951, she married her high school sweetheart, James Ferguson. They were blessed with three children Kathi, William and Donald. The family spent many joyful summers in Ocean Grove, New Jersey. In 1969, the family moved to Illinois. After James died, she moved back east to be close to her sister and daughter. Eventually she and her daughter moved to Tilghman Island, Maryland. They became adopted locals immersing themselves in the culture and scenery.

Jeanne was a proud and feisty woman who relished her role as a mother. Traits she continued to show until her passing. She passed peacefully on May 19, 2026.

Proceeded in death by her husband James and daughter Kathi.

Survived by her sons William (Linda) and Donald, grandson Ryan (Emily), great grandson Landon, sister Mary Lou Lear, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
