James Tyler, Sr. Obituary

James Robert Tyler Sr. was born on November 10, 1969 to the late James Spencer Jr. and the late Shirley Ann Tyler of Harrington, DE. James was raised in Church Hill, MD and attended Queen Anne’s County High School.

He joined the United States Army in 1989, upon his release from the military, he lived in Canada, Upstate New York and Maine, until he planted his roots in Lowell Massachusetts for the past 15 years. James attended and excelled at Lincoln Technical Institute where he graduated as Valedictorian of his class, achieving a 4.0 GPA and perfect attendance. He was inducted into The National Technical Honor Society. Because of his scholastics honors, James received a job offer and accepted the position of Operating Room Technician for the Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts.

James loved his family dearly. He adored all of his children, in Canada, Maine, and Massachusetts. He talked about them all with a smile and loved the fact that he was a grandfather. James just had a good heart! He was a kind and compassionate person. He would do anything for you if he could; even on days that he did not feel well.

James loved music especially old school music, from back in the day. He also loved to watch “good” movies. He developed his love for both music and movies, while spending time with his father. James was a gifted rapper, and often composed songs for people he loved. His songs clearly expressed his love towards his family and friends.

We will miss James’ hearty laughter as he would reminisce about old times and the comical things, we would get ourselves into. Yes, he will be deeply missed!

James is survived by the love of his life Crystal-Levangie, six children: James Tyler Jr., Tamara Tyler, Tanisha Tyler, Spencer Tyler, Brianna Tyler, and Tatianna Tyler. One sister, Yolanda Henry, (Edwin), one brother, Charles Spencer Sr. (Victoria), two Nephews, Evan Henry, and Charles Spencer Jr., two nieces, Majiyah Henry and Kaleah Spencer.
