J Daniel Edward ("JD") Herrington

J Daniel "JD” Herrington, was born to the late Vanessa Kay “Doobie” Gland and James T. Herrington, on September 7, 1989 and departed this life on April 16, 2022.

JD graduated from Kent County High School in 2007. He worked at Lamotte Chemical Productions and Tractor Supply in Chestertown, MD. During his free time he loved expressing himself
through music, creating songs and even appearing in some local videos.

JD was a homebody who loved to spend quality time with his family and friends. He adored his mother, especially her cooking, they were like 2 peas in a pod. JD’s proudest moments occurred when he became a father. July 30, 2010 he welcomed his son Ja’Vir Herrington and November 29, 2014 he welcomed his daughter Jordyn Tilghman. JD was a devoted and loving father, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for his children.

JD was preceded in death by a longtime father figure, Jeffery Barrett, one brother Scott Downing and a host of aunts and uncles.

JD leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Ja’Vir Herrington and daughter, Jordyn Tilghman of Chestertown, MD; six brothers, Austin Herrington, Andre Carter wife Khalifah Carter, Ronnie Herrington wife Jainine Herrington, Rodney Herrington, Lee Herrington wife Pam Herrington and James Herrington. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

JD was an easy going down to earth man, who enjoyed laughter, love and good times. He will be dearly missed.
