Helen Paulette Williams Albury, 79, of Oxford, MD was born October 26,1946 in Baltimore. Known to family and friends as Paulette, she was the oldest of seven children born to the late John Paul Williams, Sr. and Helen Marian Gibson Williams. She entered eternal rest on July 14, 2026.

As a child, Paulette moved with her family to Oxford. Although she began her early education in Baltimore, and attended Saint Frances Academy, Paulette graduated from Easton High School in 1965. In 1972, Paulette was united in marriage with George F. Albury of Seaford, DE. They have two children; however, Paulette was “mother” to many.

After residing first in Wilmington, DE and later Cheverly, MD the Alburys settled in Oxford. Paulette worked for the United States Postal Service in both Wilmington and Easton, MD. After 29 years of service, she retired and began volunteering in her community. She volunteered as an instructional assistant for Talbot County Public Schools where she performed various duties such as assisting in the classroom, cafeteria monitoring, dismissal duty and making copies for teachers. Paulette served on the John Wesley Church of Oxford Neck Preservation Society and Museum and on the advisory Board for the Water’s Edge Museum, Oxford. In addition, she taught Sunday School at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church for many years. In 2019 Paulette was nominated as one of Maryland’s Most Beautiful People in Talbot County.

Artistically gifted, Paulette loved to be creative, cooking, baking and crocheting. She crocheted beautiful throws, baby blankets and other items, making gifts for family and friends. She learned to perfect recipes, often cooking all or most of the family’s holiday dinners. Paulette was famous for baking applesauce cakes using her mother’s recipe. There was also a chicken pot pie that was popular among family and friends. She and George were well known for the all-out cookouts that they held at their home in Oxford. Paulette also loved children. If you ask some of the people at her home going service, you will hear them say that she was like a mother to them growing up.

In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by two brothers, John P. Williams, Jr. and Michael E. Williams. She is survived by her devoted husband, George F. Albury of Oxford, her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Erika Albury of Pasadena, MD, her daughter, Dana J. Albury of Baltimore, MD and two grandsons, Jaylin Albury and Cameron Albury of Pasadena, MD.  Also mourning her passing are three sisters, JoAnn Bryan of Shady Side, MD, Vanessa Wright (Phillip) of Gwynn Oak, MD and Lydia J. Williams of Smyrna, DE, one brother, David H. Williams (Vilma) of Washington, DC and a beloved uncle and aunt, John and Audrey Gibson of Baltimore, MD. In addition, Paulette leaves behind to cherish her memory, six sisters-in-laws, Betty Lou Albury of Kissimmee, FL, Una Mae Harvey (William) of Millsboro, DE, Dorothy Albury of Seaford, DE, Maria Albury (William) of Seaford, DE, Elizabeth Justice (Anthony) of Newark, DE and Trina Dillard of Middletown, DE; and two brothers-in-law, Carlton Albury (Denise) of Seaford, DE and James Albury of Smyrna, DE. She also leaves several nephews and nieces, a host of cousins, many great nephews and great nieces and an abundance of friends who will miss her.
