Hattie Elizabeth Cannon, affectionately known as “Pu Pu” was born on December 9, 1962 to her parents, the late, Marion Anderson Cannon and the late, Otto Chase. She passed away at her home in Baltimore, MD on June 19, 2023. She was 60 years old.
Hattie received her education in the Caroline County public school system.
Hattie held several jobs throughout her life but the most memorable ones were when she worked for the Personnel Plus Agency where she was able to share her love of cooking with the world. She also worked at local hospitals, colleges, and nursing homes in Baltimore, MD. She brought smiles to many people one plate at a time.
Hattie’s hobbies included cooking for herself and others (she deeply believed in making sure people never went hungry), shopping (she always liked to look sharp and have the newest styles out), and spending time with her family and friends. She was always ready to enjoy the things that she loved like; a road trip, catching a comedy show, and to just live each day to the fullest.
If you knew Hattie, you knew that she loved to laugh and bring joy to every person that she came in contact with. She could even lift the spirits of complete strangers just by simply saying "Good Morning, Have a Blessed Day." Hattie's caring demeanor has blanketed this earth and left a bright light inside of the hearts of all those she has befriended. Hattie will be deeply missed, but greatly remembered in the joyous memories that we all have shared with her.
Hattie is survived by her children Randall Cannon and Lawanda Atkinson (Cannon), three siblings, Orrie (Terry) Cannon, Charles Rozier, and Bernice (Gloria) Jones, two grandchildren, Takaira Cannon and Logan Newbill, as well as one soon-to-be grandson, Kendrick Rashawn Cannon.
