Harrirese Dale Pitts of Abingdon, MD passed away on January 27, 2023 in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late Edward Pitts and the late Emma Sample. He was 59 years old.
Dale as he was known, received his education in the Talbot County public school system. After school Dale decided to serve his country so he enlisted in the United States Army on April 4, 1981 in Baltimore, MD. During his service, Dale was transferred to St. Louis, MO. He served in the Infantry unit for over two years. He was recognized for receiving various awards including; the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Rifle M16 (Marksman) and he also received training from the German Headstart program in 1981. Dale was honorably discharge on April 7, 1987.
After Dale’s military career, he worked as a trainer at Agco Corp in Edgewood, MD. He was also ambitious about driving a tractor trailer, so he decided to go to school to get his CDL license. He was very proud of his accomplishment and would often call his sister to let her know about his travels on the truck. A couple of his favorite pastimes were fishing and going to the casino.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Diane Williams and Kelly Jenkins and brother, Darnell Pitts.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings; Robert Pitts, Simone Brooks and Tina Perry all of Hurlock, MD, Venus Thomas, Fawn Parker both of Easton, MD, Richard Blake of Cambridge, MD, special companion, Andrea Ford and her children, Dayshawn and Walter of Abington, MD, two grandchildren, Brionna and Lorenzo, two daughters that he raised, Connie Turner and Shenier Turner, and a host of other family and friends.
