Gregory Frank Wolf

Gregory (Greg) Wolf died on April 27, 2024 in Easton, Maryland from complications arising from a stroke. Greg was born November 19, 1954 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to Kenneth (Ken) and Elizabeth (Betty) Wolf. He attended Leetown Grade School, St. Joseph’s School in Martinsburg, Charles Town High School, and was among the first graduating class from Jefferson High School in 1973, all in West Virginia. Greg attended the Colorado School of Trades in Golden, Colorado, and obtained an Associate of Occupational Studies in gunsmithing from that school in 1976. He was later employed by Albright’s Gun Shop in Easton, Maryland where he established himself as a world-class gunsmith in both repair and sporting rifle fabrication. Greg’s hobbies varied over his life, but he retained a passion for hunting which took him to several western US states, maritime provinces of Canada, and Scotland. Greg is survived by daughters Elizabeth Wilbur (Nick) and grandsons Parker and Oliver of Aurora, Colorado, Alexandra Wolf of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, brothers Mark Wolf (Bonnie) of Florida and Tony Wolf (Susan) of Virginia, and his former spouse, Mary Denise Wolf. In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by a half-sister, Gwenneth Weaver of Texas, a half-brother, Gary Wardwell of Nevada, and a caring friend, Candy Stevens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg’s name can be made to the Talbot Hospice House, 586 Cynwood Dr, Easton, MD 21601.
